How can I delete the backup from my Dropbox?
hi how i delete the backup from my Dropbox?
Hey Werner 7, welcome to the Dropbox Community.
To delete your backed up files, first you'll need to disable the backup feature.
This will give you the option to move the backup files back to their original locations.
If they're still taking up space in your account, even though you followed the above steps, you can try to delete them from your backups page.
Let me know how it goes.

Hello - I just disabled the backups for my free account, and I want to delete the existing backups.
When I go to the Manage Backups tab, I don't see any backups, but in the Subscription Manager, it says that I have 38GB stored in Dropbox (though I only uploaded about 1GB).
How can I resolve this?
Thank you

3 years agoHey jkabrams! I hope you’re doing well.
Just to clarify; when disabling computer backup on your Dropbox account, did you select the "Keep content in folders on this PC/Mac” option or to “Leave content in Dropbox”?

Hi Nancy - when I checked today, my account is back down under the storage limit, so maybe it just took a while to update.
Thank you!
