Solved

I don't have the option to delete a phishing file I received.

I was sent an email (it appeared to be from a trusted sender) directing me to dropbox to open a file. I clicked on it which sent the file to dropbox, but I did not open the file within dropbox. Only then did I learn that the email was a phishing scam. But now I can't delete the file from my dropbox. The three dots only give me two options: "open" and "copy link." How can I remove this file from my dropbox??

Thanks for any help,

Jennifer

Hey madreocho! I’m sorry to hear that happened.

Can you you send me a full screenshot of what you see exactly when trying to delete this file from your Dropbox account? If there’s any personal info on the screenshot, please make sure to mask it first.

Let me know once you’re ready.

Hi madreocho, could you try removing your access to the file from this page on your account?
