I signed into my account and all my photos are gone
A few months ago I received a message from Dropbox that if I didn't sign into my account all my photos would be deleted. My Dropbox was full and I hadn't added any photos for quite some time but did ...

2 years agoHmm, this leads me to believe that instead of updating your email, you created a new account under your Gmail address.
Would you mind opening a window on a different browser or a private browsing window and then try to sign in to Dropbox with your Yahoo email, to see if it allows you to sign in?

I think you solved the problem. I did sign in with my Yahoo address and that account remains as do the photos. Is there a way for me to link my original Dropbox account with my Gmail address?

You can create a shared folder between the two accounts BUT you will need to log on to the other account to do this - and assuming its not been deleted. If it has been deleted its unrecoverable.

What Mark advised, is a great way to "merge" the files of your two accounts; is this what you'd like to do?
Or do you perhaps want to use your Gmail address for your original Dropbox account?
If so, and assuming that the account associated with the Gmail address is empty, you could simply delete it to free up the Gmail address.
Then you can follow the steps here, while signed into your original account, to update the email from the Yahoo to the Gmail one.
Another way could be to use a third, placeholder address for the new account, to free up the Gmail address and use it for your original account.
I hope this helps!
