Signed into my account and all my files are gone
Hey, I've been on DB for 13 years and i just had a bunch of old photos mainly and sometimes used it for practical stuff, but now coming back after long time i see DB has been updated alot and all my stuff is gone.
I cant see any files only a RITE folder is visible.
Did DB delete all my stuff?????
Thnaks
Hey, so you were right, I have two DB accounts and I was looking at the wrong one, dumb me, I dont know what happened, I thought about this right away that it could be the problem and I checked my other mail for DB mails, but I couldnt find any. However now I can.

Did DB delete all my stuff?????When was the last time you signed in to the account? If the account was idle for more than a year then they would have deleted the content due to inactivity.

I didn't know this was the rule, and I'm not really happy with it. There's a good chance some useful content will disappear this way. At least they could send a notice.

They do. Multiple emails to your email address that is on file - usually starting 90 days before its deleted. Obviously, however, this means you need to have access to the email and read them (ie. they dont do into junk/clutter etc. or be deleted due to people assuming they are marketing ones).

Hey D-Y1996, I'd also suggest making sure that you're signed into the correct Dropbox account, because that happens sometimes too.

The way I understand it, the account is disabled and the content is deleted. If, later, you try to sign back in after this happens, the account is reactivated. The content, however, has already been deleted so the reactivated account is empty.

I don't see any notification that it was deactivated and reactivated....

Have not gotten any e-mail, only emails for the past 2 years that my account was overfull and I needed to upgrade, and last time I was logged in I tried to upload some stuff but could not since I realized they now had a cap on how much you can upload.
