Most of my files are missing from Dropbox. I can only see the more recent ones.
Recently I was looking for a file and discovered all my files have disappeared except a few created very recently. What can I do to find them and restore to my account. Thanks

Hi from me as well, @Nanavirginnia!
To have a clear image of what may be happening, can you please check your old iPad and let me know if you can see all of your missing files in your Dropbox mobile app there? We’ll look into this further after that.
As for your previous posts on the forum, you can try clicking on the three dots next to the post you wish to delete. Are you able to remove the ones you want that way?
Let me know.

8 months agoHey Nanavirginnia , you mentioned that you have another Dropbox account under a different email address.
Can you open another web browser or a private browsing window to login to that account and see what you can find there?
Perhaps there's been a mix-up and you'll find your missing files there.
Let me know what you find.

Well great minds and all that—-i just happened to check my other ipad and discovered the files were lagging behind others that did transfer. . Apparently when i recently bought my ipad air m2 and transferred everything to it from my ipad 9 some things did not transfer. DB files happened to be one
so now my question is how do i EASILY send these left behind files to new ipad? I discover every week, other things that didn’t transfer when i did a complete TRANSFER EVERYTHING process.
your continued support is appreciated.

Did you understand my email 2 days ago? That i found my files on same account on my previous ipad THAT SHOULD HAVE TRANSFERRED when i set up new ipad. Yesterday i upgraded to plus temporarily to make transferring my files from old ipad to new current one Can’t understand why they didn’t transfer when i set up new ipad and transferred everything
I’ve advised you and rich several times that i don’t know how to delete multiple requests for same thing. You can probably do it for me, right?
i only know how to save files to DB. Thanks for your help

When you replace an iPad and you transfer everything to the new one, your Dropbox files do not transfer. This is because the files don't exist on the iPad. The Dropbox app just lets you see the files that are in your account online. Files are not actually stored on the device, unless you mark them as available offline), and even then they wouldn't transfer to a new device. Instead, you would just install the Dropbox app on the new device and sign in with the same account you used on the old device. Everything would be the same if you're using the same account.
