Removing unwanted folder from my account

A folder has appeared in my uploaded list which I didn't put there. It's an mp3 music file that I downloaded into a music folder on my PC but a few days later I noticed it had appeared in my dropbox list of files. When I click on it all I get is a page prompting me to request access. I've done that but nothing has happened. The share & open boxes do not appear next to the file and it doesn't have the three black dots alongside the file. I just want to remove the file. Any help please?

Okay, so this is most likely a shared file that you had access to, but no longer since the owner removed your access.

Currently, it won't be possible to remove it from the Recent's page manually at this time.

Hi iceblink, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you attach a screenshot (while hiding any personal info) showing the options you get for the file on the Dropbox site?

This will help me to assist further!

As you can see I haven't got any options to remove the Spaghetti Tree post.

Is it possible that this is a shared file visible on this page?

Just to check, if you click the file, does it load on the Dropbox site or do you only get that request access link?  A screenshot of that would help.

That's a pity. I don't even know how it managed to end up in Dropbox. It was downloaded into a music folder which worked fine but a few days later I noticed it in my Dropbox list as well which I certainly didn't put there. It's a mystery. Thanks for trying anyway.
