Stop automatic deletion of files when over quota on a Basic plan

I know I am over my storage limit but I do not want Dropbox to automatically delete anything unless I say so. I do not want to upgrade to any plans or do anything else. I just want my files to stay there forever regardless of anything unless I manually delete them myself. I will be so upset if Dropbox deletes anything that belongs to me. I don’t care if it won’t let me sync other files or upload them. The stuff that I have right now, I want them to stay there period. Is there a way to not let Dropbox automatically delete anything unless files just because I am over my limit? I do not want to upgrade to any plans or whatever.  I just want my files to stay there no matter what

Hi XxDarkus101Xx, thanks for posting today.

Currently, it wouldn't be possible to prevent this possibility, as it's stated in this article that your files are subject to deletion, if overquota on a Dropbox Basic plan.

The only way to prevent this would be to bring your account under the quota level.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Don't forget that the entire account (files and all) can also be deleted if the account remains idle for an extended period. Dropbox is not meant for cold storage.

don’t worry about that, I always login and use both of my accounts. I’m just concerned that some of my files will be deleted because I have years of stuff on here even though I’m just a basic plan user. I would hate for that to happen

Then you'll need to make sure your accounts don't exceed your quota.
