The position of a folder changes after renaming files in it
I have a folder with about 1000 files. When I add a bunch of files to it, I need to rename each one to a specific rename.

2 years agoHi there, Thissal, and thanks for reaching out to us.
We appreciate your feedback on this, but can you gives us a bit more info on where you see this behavior?
Is it on our website, your local Dropbox folder or the mobile app?
Any additional info would be helpful.
Thanks!

It is in the mobile app. It’s a local and cloud folder — but it’s true for all of my folders in the Dropbox folder.

Thissal, hope it’s OK to jump in here.
Can you give a specific example of a file you renamed on your mobile app? You can also attach a couple of screenshots of what you see before and after to have a visual.

For example, when I add a hundred files from a scanner, to ant folder, these added files are all named PNGImage 1,2,3.pdf by Dropbox. So I need to change each file to a patient name.
before the software upgrade, I would rename pngimage 1 to a patient name. Then it would move to pngimage 2, which I would rename as well, then it would move my location to pngimage 3. It was convenient. Now, instead of moving to the next png image file it pops me to the first file in the folder, alphabetically. Then I have to scroll down through about 1000 files to find the next pngimage file to rename. It takes 2 to 3 times longer to rename a bunch of files after the latest upgrade.
can you please let me know what part of this is understandable?
