    Things are indeed a bit complicated, but let's see how we can go about fixing this.

     

    So, the first thing you'll need to do is move the syncing Dropbox folder to a completely different location, like your Documents folder or directly under "Users\[name]\".

     

    You'll need to use these steps to move it.

     

    Once the move is complete, you can go ahead and look in the other Dropbox folder, move things around, so that every file you need is in the syncing Dropbox folder.

     

    When you're done with the cleanup, you can delete whatever you don't need or move it wherever you want.

     

    Now, it does look like you might have a folder named "Dropbox" inside the syncing folder, but once you move the top syncing folder somewhere new, you can be sure that this subfolder is probably a copy or something.

     

    So again, you can move out/up anything you want from there and/or delete/rename it to avoid confusion.
