What happens when I log out of the desktop app?

Hi,

What happens if I log off from Dropbox and delete all the folders and files from that computer and then Log on again on the same computer?

Does all the files sync from the web to the computer again?

Hi Swempa71, thanks for posting on the Community!

That’s essentially correct, provided you do it in the same order as you mentioned, which is to unlink the desktop app from your account first (using these steps) and then deleting the files in the Dropbox folder.

Bear in mind, however, that Dropbox Basic plans can only have 3 devices connected at the same time, so if you have more than 3 devices connected now, then it won’t be possible to relink your account to the desktop app.

Hope this helps to clarify matters!
