“Your photo library needs repair try restarting the app”

Why do I ge this error message on the iOS app? I’m using an iPhone 15 pro max and I’m trying to upload raw heic images and converting them to jpeg when I try and upload them I get that error message it’s so annoying. I’ve tried and cleared cache and restarting the app and reinstalling it with no success

Hi George7373, hope you’re doing well.

Can you please share with me the exact OS version of your device, as well as your current Dropbox app version?

Besides that, I’d also like a screenshot of the error you’re getting.

Give me a nudge, when you’re ready.

I have the same issue. iOS17.1.2 on an iPhone15. The. app throws this error when I am trying to upload a 400 (max amount that it allows to select) photos from my phone to an empty dropbox folder I just created. It did not throw the error when I selected ~100 images so I did the upload in smaller portions and it worked.

Hi lzsolt, welcome to our Community!

Thanks for the heads up on this one!

400 does sound like quite a few files, so I'm guessing this was indeed related to the amount of content you were trying to upload at once.

I'll forward your feedback to the appropriate areas so we can continue to improve.

Glad to know it worked when you tried doing this in smaller batches.
