Question or Issue
I created a new folder. It is not within another folder - when I click All Files, it shows at that level. Then I tried to Share it and I got the message below. I've never encountered this problem before when creating folders. What have I done wrong, and how can I create a new folder that I can share?

Thanks for reaching out to us, DonnetteD, and happy Monday!
What if you create a copy of this folder and then try to share the copy? Are you allowed to share it then?
Let me know!

Yes, I am able to share a copy of the file. I appreciate your help, but I'd like to understand why a brand new folder created by me when I am logged in is not automatically "owned" by me ??? Am I going to need to go through this process of creating a copy of a new folder every time I want to create a new folder in order to ensure I am the "owner" of all folders? This doesn't make much sense to me.

Hey DonnetteD, let me jump in here!
Was that a one-time situation, or do you still notice the same behavior when you create a brand new folder, and try to share it?
Can you create a new folder, and then try to share it without copying it? I'm wondering if this was a fluke or if it's consistently happening with all of your newly created folders.

Well, it wasn't a one-time situation because it happened a few days ago, which started this question. Then I created a new folder yesterday and had the same problem.
However, I just tried adding a new folder again now, and it allows me to share it. Between yesterday and today I closed Dropbox, and logged out of my computer completely, so Dropbox restarted when I restarted my computer ... so perhaps that fixed the problem.
At least now I know what to do if it happens again. Thanks again for the advice. Greatly appreciated !!
