A shared folder has a different name for the rest of the members.

Super User IIMy folder is called "Accounts and Bills" but his is called "Accounts Foundation". How can this have happened?
This is by design. Any member of a shared folder can rename (or move) the folder, but that change only applies to them. For instance, if I create a folder called "Sheffield" and share it with you, that name won't make much sense for you. You can't look at that folder name and know that it's from me. So, you're allowed to rename that folder to something that makes sense to you, and the share continues to work.
Also, a shared folder will always be shared with the name that it originally had, even if you rename it and share it with someone else. Create an "Accounts Foundation" folder and share it with me. Then you rename the folder to "Accounts and Bills" and you share it will someone else. They will receive a folder called "Accounts Foundation" because that was the name of the folder when the share was first created.
