Adding Microsoft Office Online to Connected Apps
How do I add Microsoft Office Online to my connected apps to dropbox so that I can open dropbox files with Microsoft Office Online? Do I need a business account do access this feature?

Make sure that the documents you're trying to open in Word online are in .docx format. The older .doc format is not supported by Microsoft's Online apps. The same holds true for Excel and PowerPoint.

When I click "Open with" for a Word doc in dropbox, there is no "Edit" section and no “Microsoft Word Online” option.
However, I just discovered that I can go to an Excel file in dropbox and "Open with" "Microsoft Excel Online"!

7 years agoI guess I misunderstood the list you sent, that is why I asked my previous question.
Now that Excel is working, do you have that option with Word?

No, that's the strange thing. I don't have that option with Word even now that Excel is working.
- anonymous7 years agoHave you tried different Word docs to make sure it isn’t that one doc?

I have not, but was wondering the same thing. I'll try that next, thanks!
