Bring back File Request option in File Explorer.
I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.

By the way, I discovered a partial work around. If you click on the "View on dropbox.com" option, a new browser tab opens showing the dropbox.com version of the folder. That page has an option for requesting files. It's one extra step, and it is clearly such a heavily used option that I really think it should be on the context menu as it was. That said, at least one doesn't have to type the URL, etc.

The silence of the Dropbox Staff (Megan, Nancy) is deafening!
They still haven't got back with any information from "the team"!
Please let the community know if there are other solutions, providers, etc that offer a similar option with better support!

If Dropbox won't bring back File Request Option in File Explore I will have to drop my account and switch to a different provider. Setting up a request through the website is very cumbersome and no alternative.

Yes, and bizarrely, literally the day after I posted, above, the work around that I discovered, even that was taken away. Truly disillusioning if not downright suspicious. What makes a company want to self-destruct?

I agree. I work for a trial expert and it is very cumbersome to gather records from sources without the right click access. We are looking to switch from Dropbox as well. Hopefully Dropbox will see that the feature is missed and bring it back, but their lack of communication with us is telling.

Thanks for the tip, manzanarez99 ! Do you know if Box file requests allows clients to upload files by clicking a button and navigating to the file the old way, or whether drag and drop is the only option?
