3 years agoHi rastro2, could you try to do a quick re-install of the app, using this link?
Once you do that, can you also clarify the app's exact syncing status at the moment?
Thanks a bunch!

Yes, I just downloaded using that link. It seems I'm able to copy the link, but I'm still not seeing the checkmarks.
The dropbox app reads Your Files Are Up To Date.

Hi rastro2, would you mind trying these steps to see if they help?
Click on the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and quit the application
Open your Activity Monitor from your Mac Utilities folder
Force quit out of the instances of the Dropbox application that are running by searching for "Dropbox" in the search bar, then clicking on the "x" force quit icon on the top left
Re-start Dropbox from the applications folder by double clicking on the Dropbox application
Click on the Apple icon in the top left of your screen
Click on "force quit"
Relaunch the finder
If this doesn't improve the icon situation, feel free to send me a screenshot as to how the files and folders look inside your Dropbox folder, so I can have visual too.

I tried all of those steps, and it didn't help.
I've attached a screen shotl
BTW, this is happening on both of my Macs. A 2021 14 inch MacBook Pro, and my new Mac Studio. Both running Ventura OS 13.2.1I've attached a screen shot from my MacBook Pro. As you can see, there are no checkmarks next to the folders.

Hi rastro2, it will sound trivial but have you tried restarting your device?
If you have, I'd suggest that you try an advanced reinstall, and come back with the results.

I did all of that, including the advanced reinstall, but still no checkmarks.

Sure

Hi Megan,
may I please chime in – I also have the problem that in the Finder's context menu the "Share…" or "Copy Dropbox-Link…" just don't work. They are there but nothing happens when clicking on them. I already restarted the Mac and reinstalled Dropbox app. My specs are:
MacBook Pro (2023), Apple M2 Pro
macOS Ventura 13.2.1, fresh install
Dropbox 170.4.5895
Are there any permissions I have to grant in the System settings?
Thanks for your help.
