Enabling Capture changed my screenshots to online only

I'm not sure how Dropbox Capture could affect syncing of your existing files, but let's see what we can find out about this.
Are you referring to the Dropbox Capture app or the browser version?
Also, are you using a Windows or Mac computer? And which OS version exactly?
Did you get any other updates either on your OS or on Dropbox recently?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

I am using a mac using venture 13.6.1 and I am referring to the finder version I guess. The only thing that changed between yesterday and today is that I enabled dropbox capture and it changed my Screenshots folder behavior.
