Ended up with two copies of my photos when I backed up iPhoto
I found that backup iPhoto to dropbox is a nightmare, iPhoto ended up with 2 copies of the same photos which double my storage space in my iPhone, it is so confusing that I stopped using dropbox year...

I'd suggest, if your photos are also currently saved to the Photos app on your phone, to use the camera uploads feature, which automatically backs up your photos to Dropbox.
That wouldn't create any duplicate files and once the photos are uploaded to Dropbox, if you delete them from the photos app, they'll still remain in your Dropbox.

What about the other way around? Let's say I delete the duplicate on Dropbox.. Will this cause the iPhone to back it up again? I'd like to sort my camera uploads folder but am worried that the iPhone might think the moved file needs to be backed up again.
