Hi folks!
I've been running into exactly the same issue as Johnny in the below thread:

3 years agoHey mikepav, thanks for reaching out.
I merged your post to this thread, which seems relevant.
Can you check the versions of the Dropbox application installed on your computers as well as the sync status and let me know?
On Windows computers, you can see that when hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

All are using 149.4.4568
All Sync settings are the same. All files are saved locally.
The problem goes away when I turn off Sync. Files save OK then.
When sync is active, I have problems about half the time.

In that case, I'd recommend pausing sync while editing your files or quitting the app and relaunching it once you're done with your edits mikepav
I wish I had a better answer for you.

I too am experiencing this issue with saving files from Adobe Audition into a Dropbox folder, where I get the "error occurred when saving the file to disk" message.
Pausing the sync resolves the issue, but is not a solution, as all my audio files are saved on Dropbox, and because I use "save hard drive space automatically" option, it downloads requested files on demand. So I need the software to be active throughout my editing.
It seems to be a common issue, so I would hope some time could be dedicated to Dropbox actually investigating and resolving this issue please.- djhaystack2 years agoNew member | Level 2
