I am looking at my drop box through my browser, everything is there and up to date. I'm also looking at my drop box on my computer, it says everything is there, no syncing icons, just a big bag of gr...

I'm one of the 99,999,999 users with same problem as Allen C.
As a matter of fact, almost identical symptoms.
I work in I.T. ,I have for the better part of 20 years.
The issue isn't a "bad os install" (Seriously what a moronic thing to suggest)
I also feel that Dave is useless.

I have the same problem between my pc and my Samsung Tab. Everything is up to date. It happened once before and I wish I could remember how I got it to sync. I chalked that one up to, well glitches happen from time to time.
That was 6 months or a year ago and today I discovered it had happened again. I never notice till I go to look at a doc on my tab and it isn't there. Luckily I have caught it each time while at home and not while on a trip expecting to find all my docs on my tab.
Even a manual sync button, while much desired, wouldn't do it for me. Syncing always used to work automatically, nothing to click or remember. I guess I will start investigating other cloud systems. Or maybe switch from the app to accessing via browser on my tab. I will have to check and make sure the web is up to date.
I have considered dropbox am important part of my backup redundancy but now don't trust it.
