How can I save my desktop files to Dropbox and sync them to other devices?

How do I specifically select and sync the files and documents on my desktop so that they save to the cloud and show up on my other computers desktop?

I want to be able to access files that are the desktop of computer one and be able to access those same exact files on computer number two on that desktop. Essentially used Dropbox but be able to access those exact same files on the desktop of both computers. Give me a step-by-step on how to make this happen

Thanks for clarifying. In this case, you can follow the steps I’ve linked above on how to enable computer backup on your desktop app.

However, keep in mind that backups from other devices can only be accessible from your Backups page online at the moment, and not synced locally.

Dropbox doesn't do that. You can use the Backup feature to sync your Desktop into Dropbox, but it won't sync it to another computer's Desktop.

The better option is to move your files into your Dropbox folder and just work on them there. That's the whole point of Dropbox. It becomes your new working folder so your files are the same on all devices. If needed, just create shortcuts on each of your Desktops that point to the original files within the Dropbox folder.
