How can I use selective sync on Linux?
Guys:
I would like to use the Dropbox CLI to perform “Selective Sync” on a sub-directory, $HOME/Dropbox/level1/level2. The following are my sample commands in Linux:
dropbox exclude add $HOME/Dro...

Could you try removing the parent folder first, then adding the unneeded subfolders directly, like in the below commands?
dropbox exclude remove level1
dropbox exclude add level1/unwanted1
dropbox exclude add level1/unwanted2
etc
Does this help to keep the level1/level2 folder visible?
Keep me updated with any progress.

This trick works! The logic is revered: you need to make all the directories available, then add the unwanted ones to the exclusion list.
