My files are online-only but they're still available on my computer

Hello,

I use  professional database with my account. I connected the Pro folder so I could share files from my computer. I changed the storage mode from "available offline" to "online only," but the files are still on my computer. I thought the synchronization would update and delete them. Could you help me?

thanks

The screenshot from Windows would be the one I would trust above all others.Iit shows that while the size of the Dropbox is 20.4 GB, the actual size of the folder on your disk is only 16 KB. That would indicate that all of your Dropbox files are indeed set as Online-only.

Hey khohx, thanks for joining our Community.

Do you mean that even though you switched your files to "online-only", they're still taking up space on your hard drive?

Or that they're just showing up in your Dropbox folder?

Also, what is your computer's OS and version and your what is your Dropbox app's sync status and version?

You can see the last two by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi thanks for your answer. The DB version is 238.4.6075, and i work on window 11 pro 64b (version 10.0.22631). I don't have access to the files i unchecked but when i right click on the folder it show this size (20.4GO, first capture) which is the correct size of what i need but when i use wiztree to see the actual folder size it says 502GO (second capture) which is the previous size

Thanks for the update and the screenshots, khohx.

Apart from that third party app, does your OS show that your hard drive is full due to your Dropbox folder?

Can you send me a screenshot of that?
