Online-only and available offline file options do not appear
Hello
I'm getting different online offline file options from other colleagues on a shared company account. I get the option to make a file offline, but then I'm unable to get an option to return file to online? When I go preferences under Sync on my account settings, there seems to be a missing top section in the panel which my other colleagues have also, not sure if this is the issue? If so how can I get access to this missing section in my preferences?
Thanks
Thank you - I reinstalled and now have the options of online/offline for each file.
I think I didn't click on the option for dropbox accessibility on the previous installation 🙂👍

Can you provide screenshots showing the areas you're referring to (be sure to mask any private information)? Also, what operating system and Dropbox version are you running?

Hi Rich
Thanks for your reply, my operating system is Ventura 13.0 the dropbox version is v180.4.4912
Attached screen shots showing how my Sync preferences panel looks compared to my colleagues.
Mine is missing the 'storage of new files section'.

Also screenshots showing how I don't have the option of right clicking a file to turn back onto online only after activating 'make available online'

Hey matthewp, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are both yours and your colleague's computers linked to the same Dropbox account?
And what kind of Dropbox plan are you both on?

Hi Hannah - yes both mine and my colleagues are on a Dropbox Business Advanced Trial.
Thanks Matt - Hannah3 years ago

Thanks Matt!
I understand you're both on the same Dropbox Business Advanced trial team, but are both computers using the same Dropbox login/account?

Hi Hannah
No myself and my colleagues are using different email logins.
Thanks Matt

Cheers!
And you mentioned that you're on v180.4.4912 of the Dropbox app; is your colleague on the same version too?

Hi There - yes we are both on the same version Dropbox.
But I have noticed we are on slightly different OS - I'm on Ventura 13.0 but colleague is using 13.3.1Could this be an issue?

Hi matthewp,
Just looking to narrow down on this issue for you.
Thanks for the heads up about the difference in the OS!
I don't think it's the deciding factor here, but the latest version of the OS is recommended.
In case any installer prompts were missed regards what it can do in Finder, you can get the full offline installer here:
https://www.dropbox.com/downloading?plat=mac&type=full
You can also manually check in case something was missed and might need to be allowed on the OS side.
Let me know what you find!

Hi - Will re-installing remove any files I've already uploaded to dropbox?
