How can we maintain the same shared link when replacing a file?

Able to upload replace existing file and maintain same link after sharing (as you can do already with Dropbox replay)

Hey Julietd27, thanks for your post.

I wanted to ask for some clarifications, if that's okay.

Are you adding/replacing your files using the Dropbox desktop app or the website?

When replacing a file, are you using a different name each time, or does the name remain the same?

    Hi Hannah,

    This is on the website, I tried to copy and paste the exact same name as when reading forums that’s what it suggested, but it automatically added a (1) or (2) onto the filename after trying to save. 

    I chatted to support and they said I could delete the old file and then it may work, but the link may break.
