How sure how to set-up my Dropbox account, on my new mobile in order to see my files.
I know this probably has been asked before, but I have Dropbox on both my phone and laptop. I drowned my phone and the new phone set up via google restore has Dropbox loaded but I don't recognise the interface and cannot figure how to set it it up to see my existing folders and files. All the prompts on the phone interface seem to be upsells or lead to nowhere. I'm signed in but if I click on "Link your desktop" it prompts me to download Dropbox to my computer but I am afraid to do this as Dropbox is already in my computer (as an app? perhaps) and I fear losing my existing folders and files if Dropbox is downloaded (again? to my laptop). Can anyone assist me please? I'm not tech illiterate but cannot figure this one out.

Hey Steelbreese, let's jump right into this!
You mentioned that you've already signed into the mobile app. Can you clarify what you see there? I'm just trying to understand what's preventing you from seeing your content.
Are you able to access your account's "Files" tab on our mobile app and see your files/folders? And if not then what do you see? Feel free to send over a few screenshots, in order for me to have a visual.
One more thing: is it possible that you're referring to our Backup feature?
If you've already linked your computer, the device should be visible on your Security page online. Can you check, and let me know how many devices are connected there?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there.
