account access
33 TopicsDifficulty accessing shared files due to mandatory admin verification code.
Recently, access to shared files started requiring an extra verification code from the admin every single time. Before, opening the shared link from email was enough and things worked smoothly. Now it adds unnecessary delays, especially when the admin isn’t immediately available, and it makes the process frustrating for less technical users. If there’s a way to disable this requirement or simplify access again, I’d really appreciate the guidance.46Views0likes3CommentsDon't Always Entice Logging In/Signing Up
I realize you are in this business to get users. However, there's a time and a place -- and at the TOP of MY pages, is NOT the place. I am paying to put files here for people to access and my users do not need to be members or, if they are members, they do not need to sign in. Having them be logged in is a complication. SO GIVE PAYING USERS THE OPTION TO NOT SHOW ALL YOUR LOGIN STUFF AT THE TOP. AT LEAST ENABLE US THE CHOICE TO SHOW YOUR LOGIN STUFF AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGES INSTEAD. This isn't a vanity thing. You seriously confuse people. The people I need to use this with are afraid of doing the wrong thing -- because you do not give them a clean interface.Solved35Views1like1CommentRemove login pop-up on Dropbox transfer downloads
This has been complained about numerous times and it is absurd that Dropbox seemingly refuses to change this. I've received so many complaints from clients with regards to them claiming they need to signup/give a password to download my transfers because the scummy "Or continue with download only" text is easily missable. Just allow people to click the link, view the files, and download without logging in. What else do I pay Dropbox for? I will move to another service soon if this is not changed.66Views0likes1CommentWhy can users see my whole Dropbox account when I share just one folder link with them?
I have recently learned that when I share a folder with anyone, they can see all the folders and files in my Dropbox. How can I limit this so that people only see the folder I share with them?Solved19KViews0likes4CommentsHow sure how to set-up my Dropbox account, on my new mobile in order to see my files.
I know this probably has been asked before, but I have Dropbox on both my phone and laptop. I drowned my phone and the new phone set up via google restore has Dropbox loaded but I don't recognise the interface and cannot figure how to set it it up to see my existing folders and files. All the prompts on the phone interface seem to be upsells or lead to nowhere. I'm signed in but if I click on "Link your desktop" it prompts me to download Dropbox to my computer but I am afraid to do this as Dropbox is already in my computer (as an app? perhaps) and I fear losing my existing folders and files if Dropbox is downloaded (again? to my laptop). Can anyone assist me please? I'm not tech illiterate but cannot figure this one out.155Views0likes2CommentsMy Android photos won't upload to my Dropbox account and now, I can't sign back in either.

Hello, I have all of my dropbox files synced from the cloud to my hard-drive. It's a 2nd drive I have rather than my main drive. I use my own Windows account account. My question is.... can my wife log in via HER Windows user account and also use the same dropbox account and the same files on our '2nd drive'? If she logs into dropbox with the same details as me but via HER Windows user account, can she just point dropbox to the 2nd drive as per me? ie. it wont try and start downloading everything again. Hope that made sense.Solved280Views0likes5CommentsChanging email address in Dropbox Business when sharing a file. Is it normal?
I have noted that if send out a file share to an employee using their company email account and that employee either saves it to his personal dropbox or to either his desktop or documents file which is set in his personal dropbox account to synchronise across his devices and dropbox that the email address for the invite in the business dropbox account changes to his personal email. Is this correct and Normal and are their any security settings that prevent this.99Views0likes1Comment
