How to make my documents look the same on all devices
Hi,
I create and edit (mostly long, detailed lists) from my home PC that I refer to on my smartphone and other PC's when traveling. They are useable, but don't transfer to the other devices exactly the same. Is there a way to fix this?
Also, can you edit from other devices? I haven't figured out a way how yet. Appreciate any help!

They are not as they appear on my PC. Maybe it is because these documents were created and edited on WordPad?
If you're not using the same application on all of your devices, then the documents will look different.

Hi 1ncChief, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you referring to having the files in your Dropbox folder sync to other devices? Is the Dropbox desktop application installed and running?
It is possible to edit from other devices, to have them then sync to others.
This will help me to assist further!

Hey 1ncChief, sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify your devices' OS versions and the version of the Dropbox app installed there as well?
Do you see all of your files and edits on the website?

Hi Walter,
My main PC runs Windows 10 Home and my phone is running Android version 13. The only other device I use regularly is a elderly family members older HP with some version of Windows OS (maybe 10?).
Version 346.2.6 is what is installed on my phone. Really appreciate the help!

To finish answering your questions Walter (sorry), I just uploaded my files to the Dropbox website and they show up the same on there as they do on other devices (slightly different, but definitely readable). They are not as they appear on my PC. Maybe it is because these documents were created and edited on WordPad?

Hey 1ncChief, is it possible to send us a couple of screenshots, showing how an example file appears on your home PC and how it appears on one of the other devices?
- 1ncChief3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Yes, when I get back home later this afternoon I will do that. Thanks Hannah

Well that answers my questions in a nutshell Rich, thanks. Guess I'm good as is then because I don't have a clue how to make sure all devices can download or use the same word app. Appreciate the help and education in Dropbox specifics everybody!
