2 years agoI can't ignore a folder under Version 189.4.8395
Hi, on my mac I would like to prevent a folder from syncing. Already made the update and migration to the cloud storage location on the new Mac OS:
Folder Path is: /Users/kirstensoerries/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/Lightroom 2024/Lightroom 2024 Previews.lrdata
Terminal command I am trying is:
xattr -d 'com.apple.fileprovider.ignore#P' /Users/kirstensoerries/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/Lightroom 2024/Lightroom 2024 Previews.lrdata
Terminal error is:
xattr: No such file: 2024/Lightroom
xattr: No such file: 2024
xattr: No such file: Previews.lrdata
could you help me? Thanks

That one worked
xattr -w 'com.apple.fileprovider.ignore#P' 1 "/Users/Name/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/Lightroom 2024/Lightroom 2024 Previews.lrdata"

Hi anonymous, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Since the folder and file have spaces in them, you need to add quotation marks (") from before the /Users/ path to after the .lrdata part of the argument.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Could you try this command for the beginning portion of the Terminal prompt?
