I deleted the owner of a shared folder, now I can't add or remove anyone else from the folder

I have "can edit" permission to a Folder and I am able to give or remove  access to the folder.   I deleted a person who was the "owner" and now I can't give or remove anyone to/from the folder. Is there a way to restore this person, who was the owner, to the folder? I used to be the owner of this file.

Hi pjshinagawa, thanks for messaging the Community!

When you say you deleted the owner from the folder, did you remove their access to the folder entirely?

If you view the shared folder now, is there any owner of the folder?

What does the old owner see on this page on their Dropbox account?

This will help me to assist further!
