Icon on Document without sync

I recently installed Dropbox on my mac with the intention of NOT using it to sync the Desktop and Document folder. But the two folders have the dropbox icon on it. However, they are not syncing... Additionally I cannot drag and drop into those folders...

Hey vfairon, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Did you by any chance turn on the Dropbox Backup feature at some point?

Could you send us a screenshot of the desktop app's status and version as shown in your menu bar and clarify your device's exact OS version?

Any additional information is more than welcome!
