My folders seem to be stuck syncing, but the Dropbox app is up to date (v225.4.4896).
On 28th May 2025 Dropbox automatically updated to v225.4.4896. It took many hours to sync. Dropbox icon says 'up to date' but many files and folders still show syncing (circular arrows) icon. There i...

I have been having the same problem for several months now. Files would sync manually but not automatically even though it was set to do so, and then when I switched from Pro to Teams I lost my connection to the cloud service altogether. Same support recommendation to log out and back in, restart computer, uninstall and reinstall, etc. only to be stuck in an endless loop. Now we are back at it's connected but won't sync. I am a business owner and single mom and I have spent countless weekend and evening hours trying to fix this. Sometimes it'll index more files than other times. Currently it's stuck at 18,248 files indexing.

So far, the files appear to be synched but in some cases the folders containing them show 'synch pending' (back to back arrows), so my data MAY be safe, but I have no confidence in Dropbox without opened many thousands of sub-folders to check their contents.
Currently I have a stable system (its stopped indexing and synching) but I have no confidence that my data is safe. i.e. 1) SSD hard drive and Dropbox cloud are 100% matched 2) all files and folders are also available off-line (which is essential for me because I work in locations without internet).
I've also wasted a lot of time on this and spent lots of money on a new high spec PC, only to have the same issue.

As for you, Matrona, are you also using version 225.4.4896 of the Dropbox app?
Also, what is your computer's OS and version?
