Photo upload order (newer to older) in camera uploads.

The automatic upload function is set up in a way that the NEWESR (most recent) photos are always uploaded first.
I take a lot of photos and there is always a gap.
It would make more sense for the uploads to pick up from where you left them?!
Meaning, from OLDEST photos, to the newest.

Is it possible to change the order?
If not, what was the logic behind this decision?

Hi alimaybar, welcome to our Community!

It should work like you mentioned: oldest to newest.

Which OS do you use at the moment, and what is the Dropbox version that you have installed on your device? Also, do you use the desktop app, or mobile app to upload content to your account?

How do you sort files within the app? Any screenshots you might have are always welcome.

    Keep me posted!

    Hello,
    So can you please confirm:
When I connect ny iphone to the dropbox app to back up photos.
The app will always start backing up photos starting by the newest/most recent photos.

If this is the case, could you look into changing how that works or at least for users to have the option to select.
I find it very frustrating to never know what photos are backed up and which arent due to this function (the only reason i have dropbox plus is for this function and it feels very unreliable)

    Thanks for confirming.

Hey alimaybar, indeed, this behavior is expected and when you upload photos and videos using camera uploads, they will start getting added from the newest to the oldest.

We appreciate your feedback here and it will of course be passed along to our team.
