Re: Some files are not syncing from my desktop to my other devices
The "HOME" you are seeing is the next folder up from Personal Files, not part of the file name (note, it is preceded by a back arrow:
I do have a Dropbox icon on my toolbar (not quite next to the clock but on the far right of the toolbar). If I click on the icon, I get the spinning wheel for a few seconds, but nothing opens.

Thanks for the clarification on the folder, bulldogman.
Regarding the app, if you uninstall it, restart the computer and then reinstall it, does it make any difference?

Well, now things have gotten really strange. I tried to uninstall the DropBox app and it wouldn't uninstall. The loading bar wouldn't advance beyond approximately the 3/4 mark even after 6 hours. Now what please?

HI bulldogman, it sounds like something might be preventing the app from uninstalling fully.
If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

Thanks Jay, but the first step is click on the icon, and when I do that nothing happens except for a spinnint circle for a few seconds. Which leaves me unable to proceed.

In this case, can you follow the steps below, bulldogman, and let me know if they help?
- Open the "Task Manager" by right-clicking your taskbar and clicking "Start Task Manager".
- Click on the "Processes" tab to see if there are any other processes associated with Dropbox. You may need to click "Show processes from all users" to check all processes.
- If you see any items that refer to Dropbox, or recognize any programs that you may have linked to Dropbox, please perform the following steps for each applicable process:
- Click on the line that references the process to select it
- Click on "End Process"
After these steps, please try to uninstall the app again.

It looks like that got it uninstalled. When I search DropBox on my computer it shows
I assume the listings under "Search the web" are irrelevant, but do any of the installers, or the file folder need to be deleted before I try to reinstall? Thank you for your help.
