Recipient of shared link cannot access the folder
I have a free account. I want to share a link to a folder. Dropbox allows me to create the share link. When I send the link to a friend, he gets the message
You don't have access You can ask...

You don't need a paid account and the recipient doesn't need an account at all. You're likely creating an Edit link. Make sure you're creating a view-only link.
