Restore Deleted Files
I have a file that I moved from DropBox to my hard drive. The hard drive crashed, so I lost it. Does Dropbox Basic have any deleted files in an archive that can be recovered?

It does yes, but, only 30 days worth: https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/recover-deleted-files-folders

3 years agoHey Bill80205! Can you send me a bit more info on this?
Was the deleted file saved on your desktop app perhaps? Is there any chance your updates hadnât synced to your online Dropbox account, which is why youâre not seeing the correct version of the file being restored?

I did save it to a file on my laptop so it's not lost.

Hey Bill80205, sorry to jump in here!
On your laptop, are you using the Dropbox application, in order for your files to sync to your account online and any other devices you linked to this account?
If so, can you check the sync status, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray?
