Right-click option to sync any computer folder to my account, without moving it inside Dropbox.

As for me, synchronization of folders via the application is done a little inconveniently and not even clear, and in fact it does not exist..

Let me explain what I mean: I would like to right-click on the folder that I want to synchronize with the folder from the hard drive, so that synchronization works automatically when adding files to this folder..

Why should I transfer files every time that I want to be in the cloud, it is inconvenient and you need to constantly spend time on this.. Let synchronization work for me..!!

I think it is very convenient and, first of all, a function that saves time..!!

This has been asked for a lot, and, rejected by Dropbox because it doesn't work well across systems - for example if you have a folder sync'd on machine A where does that then go on machine B for example?

They recently compromised with the Backup systems but that actually moves those directories to Dropbox and puts links in the original place.

With synchronization, everything is simple, you create folder A on your computer than create folder A in the cloud and synchronize these folders, everything that happens in one folder automatically happens in the other, for example, if you deleted a file from folder A on your computer, then the file from folder A in the cloud automatically goes to a hidden folder on the computer, that is, in the future it will remain on the disk, but it can be easily deleted...

Thus, it is no longer in the cloud or on the computer.!!

This principle of synchronization is used by the Mega company.. Everything works great!!

But, as I said, how does it work when its multiple computers - which is what Dropbox is designed and intended for.

So if you edit a file in Folder A on computer 1 what does it do on Computer 2?

If I have a file as \My Documents\Mark on machine one but it is \My Documents\*My company name\ on machine 2 what happens now? The directories are different. Or, if machine 2 is a Linux or Mac and machine 1 is a Windows PC? How does that then work safely and most importantly 100% of the time.

Adding some additional context to help with understanding this feature request: Such functionality would typically address two user scenarios:

    1. Being able to sync any folder on your computer to a location of your choice in your Dropbox account, without having to move it to your local Dropbox folder. That folder would appear in your online Dropbox account and by default sync to the Dropbox folder on your other devices.
    2. Choosing where to locally sync a specific folder from your Dropbox account (instead of the default of syncing it to the local Dropbox folder)

For those interested in these workflows, tools like Boxifier currently provide this functionality as an add-on to Dropbox.

    Hope this helps,
