Sharing Folder with people ooutside my Team
Hi,
I often have to share folders with people outside my team (dropbox Business Advanced).
More often then not, when they try to get access to the folder, they ask (mainly by mistake I guess) to join my Company's team.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something they don't understand in the procedure ?
Thank you for your help

Hi floraup, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you inviting them to a team folder? This would force them to join the team in order to view the folder.
When you share a normal folder, make sure to allow permissions for non-team members.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!

Hi Jay,
Thank you for your response.
Since we upgraded to Drop Box Busines Advance we have 2 main folders each.
- One is "MYCOMPANY's Shared Workspace"
- One is "MYNAME".
All my folders that where created before the upgrade went to MYNAME folder. So form then on, I created every new sub-folder in this one.
From my understanding we won't be able to share folders with people outside our team anymore ?
Our main problem is that when someone is added to our team, we get their bill and we would prefer not to
I'm sorry but it's very confusing to me haha

Hey floraup, can you please make sure that you've enabled external sharing in your admin console?

Could you try creating a new shared folder, and ensure that the permissions in the folder allow non-team members to be invited?
