Smart Sync options are missing on my context menu
I have scoured the forums for help. There is no "Smart Sync" Option when I right click on a folder on my business dropbox. I used to have the option, it disappeared 2 days ago. Pertinent info - Win...

Yes we got it resolved. We did a more in-depth removal of dropbox even than the one I found above followed by repeating several of the same simpler steps outlined above and finally something triggered it to work. I can't tell you exactly what worked because I have no idea to be honest. Something in the sequence of events maybe.

When I try to upload a screenshot I get an error that says "AN UNEXPECTED ERROR HAS OCCURED. It is a .jpg file less than 1 MB in size.

In short - I right click on any folder in my business dropbox. Green checkmark or no green checkmark. The context window opens and there is no smart sync option.
I have used selective sync to decide which folders to sync for now because dropbox was trying to download them all.
I can email you a screenshot if you wish, but it will not let me upload it here.

Oh and yes, Dropbox is whitelisted in Windows Defender.

Thanks for the additional info Mimi. I hope you had a lovely weekend; how are you today?
Now, in regards to the screenshot you forwarded me, sadly, I'll need to ask for another one. Specifically, one where your files' icons are not covered by a context menu (like in the one you provided) and if possible, in which the exact status of the desktop app on your computer is clearly shown as well. Does it show 'Up to date' or is it still syncing?

I had a good weekend, thank you. I hope yours was good as well.
Today I am extremely frustrated. I am completely unable to upload a screenshot to the forum now. The "Photos" button in the Rich Text formatting menu does nothing. (That is what finally worked last time) "Choose File" and "Drag Photos here" both get me "An unexpected error has occured" and "link to a picture" - hosted on another site - just tells me there is no picture there. I should not have to resort to HTML coding to get my pictures into this post. (Which are hosted on the same site the "Link to a picture" said did not exist.)

Sorry to hear about this Mimi. Does this occur on other browsers as well?
Could you please try the 'Photos' button from your reply's box?
Alternatively, you can log a ticket with our support team through the following page and let me know the ticket's ID so I can locate it on our system and get on it asap.
If you stumble upon an issue doing that, please let me know and I'll reach out to your Dropbox associated email address from my end.

Having problem syncing with windows 7 and windows 10. Any ideas on how to correct this. Worked perfectly than stopped when windows 10 was uploaded to my windows 7 computer!

As a first step, I'd recommend giving a simple reinstall of the desktop app that's not syncing a try. To do this:
- Make sure you save and quit all apps use files in the Dropbox folder.
- Stop Dropbox from running by selecting on Quit Dropbox when you click on the Dropbox icon that's on your system tray.
- Uninstall the desktop app.
- Reboot your computer to ensure that you complete the uninstall.
- Download and install the latest version of the desktop app.
If that doesn't do the trick for you, please send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of what you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon.
