Solved

Why are folders that I've unchecked in my app settings not removed from my Mac hard drive?

Unexpectedly all my online Dropbox folders are now appearing in my Dropbox folder on my Mac hardrive, despite all the folders showing unchecked in the sync function in preferences.  Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Peejay51! Welcome to the Community.

I understand that your folders appear unchecked under your selective sync settings, correct? Can you send me a screenshot of what you see there?

Besides that, I’d like a screenshot of the same folders as they appear within your local Dropbox folder now.

Did you take any actions on the Dropbox app, like reinstalling for example, before you noticed this behavior?

Let me know when you have more info.
