Advanved Storage Account / Usage shown is not correct.
So our company has an Advanved account. We went from having 50TB free to suddenly being 50TB OVER our allocated quota, which means our storage went up 100TB over night. When I run the storage report a...

3 years agoHi karen46, when you say that these folders have been re-shared with other people, do you mean people from within your Team?
Do you see any members having enabled Backup, by any chance? It'd also help to have a look at this with our Support team, since they can have more visibility on their end.
Have you tried a different browser in order to contact them, just in case this is a browser-related issue?

I am the only member and I shared 2 folders with a client. Could they then share that folder without my knowledge which would then take up room on my storage? I can't understand where this 2.2TB is coming from otherwise.
I have tried different browsers and the online chat just doesn't work. Surely there is a way on dropbox to see who is sharing this 2.2tb??

Hi karen46, no that couldn't be it.
Since the folder already exists in your account, it wouldn't matter if they share it with more people. As for our chat support, it's indeed odd.
I checked with the team, and there was a small percentage of users not able to chat, so apologies for that. Provided it's not working again today, let me know so I can send you an email, and inform our team. Thanks!

Hi,
Yes I got the chat working this morning but that was a waste of time. She said she would briefly look into her resources then came back and said we needed to switch to email to provide her with more information. I received an email that included the transcript of the chat and replied to it asking what to do next and what further information they needed. That was 3 hours ago and I have heard nothing. She didn't have a clue what this 2.2TB of sharing is so now I've just been left in limbo with a big chunk of our storage taken up by some phantom sharing file!
