I am also having the same issue despite troubleshooting a whole bunch of different fixes. I am Mac OS 13.4. I have deselected all files under Selective Sync. I have selected "online only" for individual folders and files (and nothing happens, they don't switch to online only). I've made all new files "online only." I am at wits end.

Have you checked your account settings, to make sure that the Dropbox system extension is enabled?
