Can't free up space in my drop box account

Hello!

I have a free Dropbox account, and I recently ran out of space. I have manually moved all of my files out of Dropbox on my Mac, but that didn't do anything, so I logged into Dropbox and removed everything.

There is nothing. No files--not even ones waiting to be permanently deleted, no photos, no shared files, nothing. It still says that my dropbox is completely full.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

I have been working with "support" for over 3 weeks. I want to delete the files (and remove my access) to gain more space. In doing so I still cannot add new files as it is telling me "not enough storage". I have deleted more than enough to add the small folder I am trying to.

If you check your space usage in your account settings, what do you see?
