Dropbox empty but account tells me i have 18.73Gb of data out of 19.25Gb available space
Hi, i have the Dropbox free plan. I have had this account for a long time and was able to get additional free space by inviting people to join Dropbox.
a few years back, after a huge change to Dropbox where free accounts were scaled back to 3 devices, i had to remove devices. I now have only 2 devices connected, but my account shows 3/3. I dont know what is this third device.
Worst my account shows i have 18.73Gb of data in my dropbox out of 19.25Gb of available space. However, my dropbox is completely empty. No files, no photos, no deleted items, no backup, nothing. I tried to contact support by email, but got a blunt response. I dont have email support with free account.
I am now hopeless and not sure how to get my empty Dropbox to be really empty so i can star using it again.
can anyone please help me????

Just remove it then, its probably a previous install on an identical device (sometimes happens when software updates say Windows 10 to 11). Go to https://www.dropbox.com/account/security and scroll down to Devices.

Hello, i have a dropbox free account. I have it since the beginning, and was able to increase my free space by inviting users to join dropbox. A few years ago when all things changed i was locked out because i had more than 3 devices connected. I left dropbox for something else.
anyway, now i want to start reusing it again. Deleted devices from my account to 2 devices.
my Dropbocpx account still shows 3/3 devices connected? Not sure what is the third device. I cant add a third device.
worst, my account shows i am using 18.73 Gb of file space out of 19.25Gb of available space. However, y dropbox is empty, no backup or deleted files, no photos, nothing. There is nothing in my dropbox.
i emailed support, and got a blunt response that there is no support for free account!!!!
can anyone help me, please
