How do I stop syncing to free up hard drive space?
I need to free up space on my laptop. So I believe that you should stop sync to my harddrive. Once I stop sync, do I simply delete the files on my harddrive, and if I do this, will all my files remain in the cloud. I want to make sure that I don't lose files.

Hey janfill, welcome to the Dropbox Community!
If you're after freeing up hard drive space, you don't really need to stop syncing.
You can continue using our desktop app and take advantage of our hard drive space-saving features!
You can read more about how to save hard drive using Dropbox here.
