No more space on my Dropbox, but Dropbox backup is empty
Hello,
Dropbox has backed up some folders on my pc, saturating my dropbox space.
I deleted these files on Dropbox backup, turned off the backup of folders through the desktop app but Dropbox keeps backing up from these folders and warns me that there is no more space.
Tips?
Thanks in advance
Hi Mord0r85, can you try to access and delete any folders within the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC ?

Hi there Mord0r85, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please confirm that you've followed these steps to disable the Dropbox Backup feature? Also, did you delete your backed up files or folders from this page?
Any additional information is more than welcome!

Hello Walter,
I've deactivated backup unplugging my Dropbox account, then I've deleted my backup, in fact this page is empty.
I've tried to delete cache files using this guide, but the problem still remain.
Thanks for your help

Sorry for jumping in, Mord0r85.
In this case, can you send over a few more details on what happens exactly when adding new files to your main computer folders (Desktop/Downloads/Documents)?
Are these folders showing within your local Dropbox folder perhaps? Any screenshots you can provide are also welcome.

Hello Nancy,
backup functions are disactivated by preferences, but Dropbox still continue uploading backup from main computer folders (in screenshot you can see an uploading from Desktop about a link file of a recent app).
PC main folders (Desktop/Downloads/Documents) aren't inside Dropbox local (and online) folder.

Hi Mord0r85, when you disabled the computer backup feature, which option did you choose? Was it to keep your files on your computer, or keep them in Dropbox?

Hello Jay,
I've unplugged my Drobbox account, because at first time I've used the Dropbox app keeping files on PC, but the app remained on loading for about one hour without any result

Okay, so just to clarify, what happens when you run the app now, is it still trying to start up? Are the files continuing to attempt to sync to the site, or vice versa?

Every time Windows (11) starts, Dropbox starts automatically and what you see in the screenshot above happens.
Can be a solution expanding Dropbox space with 30 days free proof (3 TB available)?
