Notice of full storage
Hello. My Dropbox is currently notifying me that my Dropbox is full when it is actively not.
I made a mistake of backing up a flash drive, which I deleted from my computer, but ever since the app refuses to update its status from full to available. I manually checked all my folders in my possession and they don't exceed 500MB of space. As far as I remember, there is no universal reset button for the entire service, and I already restarted the app from said computer 3 times. The folder I was trying to share, was taken from another shared folder and was put to a different shared folder I wanted, but I deleted it as soon as I realised there was a storage problem. Deleted files section is clear from that as well, on both ends. Any ideas what I should do next? Thank you in advance.

I have a shared folder and a remote user is getting the FULL STORAGE message. There is plenty of space in my Dropbox account.

Other users don't get access to the space in your account. If they're a member of a shared folder, they need to have enough space available in their account to hold the shared folder. They get their own copy of the folder in their account, and that copy syncs with your copy.

So If fellow collaborators don’t have Dropbox the workaround is request for files? - Nancy4 years ago

Hey krisD, I hope you’re doing well!
If you wish for other users to upload files to your own Dropbox account, you can open a file request for them indeed.
This won’t require them to open a Dropbox account on their end.

No problem at all!
If you need something else, give me a nudge.

Why is this so dang hidden? I had the same issue, glad it's fixed, but having to hunt and search for files that are taking space is absurd.
