Dropbox storage reduced from 17 GB
As an early adopter and through referrals and other promotions, I had 17 GB of storage. This morning I received a notification that I exceeded my 2GB storage allotment. It looks like I may have more than that, https://www.dropbox.com/events indicates that my storage was reduced to 6.75GB, but that is still 10 GB less than I had yesterday. What gives!?
Free storage of 30+GB now downgraded completely to 2gb after many years of not using it
Hi, I just checked my dropbox account after more than 4 years and I noticed that my basic account had 30+gb free space before from referrals but now it's reporting 2gb only. I checked my notification and it seems the downgrade started on Dec 2021 onwards. As far as I remember, the referral and other bonuses before should have been permanent. Can anyone from dropbox please revert my storage back? Btw I'm sure im only getting 2gb free now, not just the basic plan but the free storage itself as I'm already getting notification of out of storage
Getting messages that my storage is full - but it isn't
My dropbox capacity is 5GB. I cleared several items out of DB down to about 1GB. And yet, I still get incessant messages that I'm at 105% capacity (which I am not). I'm also not running any automatic file back-ups. Pardon my paranoia but this feels like ruse to get me to upgrade?
Getting a 'not enough Dropbox space' error, when I have plenty of space
Everyday I get this (see screenshot) onMac Os when connecting any device to sync photos."Not enough dropbox space" - Mac - But I have PLENTY of space.. and I see it on both of my macs but not my iphone (which indicates to me a poorly written client on mac). Resolution: sign out and sign in again.. but that means setting up my profile again each time, choosing locations, and closing badges, and so on and so on - and this take a lot of time.. What's the real fix or workaround here? And why haven't dropbox fixed it. Why on earth would I buy an upgraded plan when something as simple as this fails to function correctly.. Other tests I've tried: complete uninstall / reinstall.
Email telling me I'm out of space and syncing has stoped, but I'm not.
I keep getting an email every few days telling me I'm out of space and syncing has stoped, but I'm not, and it hasn't. Dropbox works as normal, but I keep getting the e-mails. What gives? Screenshot of space remaining in my profile: Screenshot of e-mail: The e-mail is genuine and not, like I first thought given I know I'm not out of storage, a scam. Links go to the proper dropbox domain etc. What gives? Thanks, Ben.
