.tmp files being created in C:\Program files(x86)\Dropbox\Temp

I have a new computer that came with dropbox installed on it and I had never used it. Recent twice a day (once at 1:08pm and once at 1:08am) I get files in the location in C:\Program files(x86)\Dropbox\Temp

 

These take up about 900MB. I have deleted them and they return each day.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled dropbox and the files continue to be made. 

 

I only have a 256GB hard drive so this causes my C: drive to fill up rather quickly.

 

Please assist with a way to stop these files.

    Thanks, that makes sense.  Looks like disabling these two services  dbupdate, dbupdateem):

    And these two scheduled tasks:

    should, hopefully, address the symptom and buy some time to find an alternative configuration.
