Can't access the website Dropbox.com through my wifi

I have been denied total access to Dropbox website on my Mac for some reason. My internet is working perfectly for all other sites. Subsequently, my Dropbox app doesn't turn it black at all. It says connecting to Dropbox and doesn't connect. Driving me nuts please help

  • Can you access it via other means? So mobile data for example?
  •
Can you let us know if you’re experiencing issues with getting connected to Dropbox through multiple different devices, or only through your Mac?

If you’ve tried connecting through multiple different devices, and you’re still experiencing issues, it might be that your network has blocked access to Dropbox.
To test this, you could try connecting through a different network from the one you're currently using (in order to ensure that there are no network restrictions set up at the moment).

For example, if you’re conencted through your work network, try connecting through your home network, or through mobile data on your mobile device.

A proxy or firewall might be the cause of not being able to access Dropbox. You can click here to get to our Help Center article to find out more on this.

    Hopefully that helps!
Let me know how this works for you or if you’re still experiencing issues, and I’ll be happy to help. Thanks and have a nice week!

    Hi Mark,
I am able to connect through my mobile network. I believe it has to do with the network. I have approached the Dropbox team from my mobile and got the same resolution thank you for your time and assistance.

Hey again  Markmichaelphot ! Thanks for keeping us updated on this, and glad we were able to help you out a bit.

Yeap, exactly - since you were able to connect through your mobile data, a network restriction is most likely what was causing the issue.
